September 2016 – Present Freelance Copy Editor
This role consisted of taking clients’ manuscripts and tailoring them to where they were publishable. This included both taking the form of their work and making sure it fit the guidelines laid out by agents and publishing houses; and also working to make sure their spelling, grammar and punctuation was at an acceptable level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with clients to make sure that their vision was able to be realized within the boundaries set by Literary Agents and Publishing houses.
- To have the attention to detail needed to see where the client had made mistakes, or created glaring issues with their manuscript.
- On occasion I, with their permission, would rewrite or even ghost write certain sections for my clients

- Responsible for interfacing with clients, communicating and managing expectations, and editing their work.
- Helped plan and organize multiple book launches, and as such gained experience with Event Planning, Negotiation, People Management and Event Design.

Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinated all logistical aspects of live music events, including booking artists, booking and negotiating with venues, arranging equipment and overseeing event timelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Tasked with creating the look of the set, and as such was tasked with procurement of props and the making of the set.
- I was responsible for the setup of the lighting, whether it was for adding essential light to a scene, or to create a mood for a scene.
- As it was a small set, I also took on production assistant responsibilities such as providing call sheets, collecting essential gear and making sure that the different on-set departments stayed in communication with each other.
